Lasagne

Ingredients

1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage
1 lb Ground Beef
1 Cup Water
1 Bulb Garlic (minced)
2 Tbsp Basil
1 1/2 tsp Salt
29 oz Petite Diced Tomatoes
29 oz Tomato Puree
2 6oz Cans Tomatoe Paste
2 Eggs
3 Cups Ricotta Cheese
1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese
3 Tbsp Parsley Flakes
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 lb Sliced Mozzarella
1 lb Sliced Provolone
16 oz pkg Lasagna Noodles

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large stainless steel skillet, brown meat slowly. Drain excess fat then add Water, Garlic, Basil, 1 1/2 tsp Salt, Diced Tomatoes, and Tomato Paste. Cover and simmer on low for aproximately 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

In a separate pot, boil pasta according to directions, drain and rinse.

In a large bowl beat Eggs. Then mix in Ricotta, Parmesan, Parsley, 1 tsp Salt, and Pepper.

In a 15" x 10" baking dish:
add 1 layer of noodles
spread on 1/4 of the Ricotta mixture
add 1 layer Mozzarella
spread 1/4 of the meat mixture
spread 1/4 of the tomato puree
Repeat alternating between Mozzarella and Provolone.

Bake for 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
